Terri’s Tips to Get the Most from the STAR Performer Program

1. Before listening, think of areas you’d like to improve in, such as greeting customers, helping themmake decisions, increasing your sales.

2. Write down your goals.

3. Listen to the Program…while your driving, exercising, traveling or even making dinner! You’ll hear newtechniques that will trigger your own ideas and solutions. Just listen and absorb.

4. Then, plan some time when you and listen and write. Start at the beginning and just pause it when youhear a new technique or have an idea of your own. By pausing, this helps you focus; keeping you frombeing distracted by the new information that follows. Writing it down helps you remember the newconcept much better than if you just keep listening. Also, it reminds you to put your ideas into action.

5.After you have listened and taken notes from the program, review what you’ve written. Read your notescarefully as you may generate even more ideas!

6. Now, create an action plan. Answer this question: “What will I begin doing immediately to put intopractice what I’ve learned?” Your action plan should be simple and easy to remember.
For example: Step1. I will… Step 2. I will… and so on. Keep your plan with you all the time.

7. Pop your CD in every-so-often. You’ll be amazed at what you’ll hear and discover each time you listen.Generally, it takes 2 repetitions to remember 70% of the information we hear.
